Todd + Stephanie wedding reception 02.02.13

We were so thrilled that my mom and Mike offered to host a wedding reception for us! They held it at their club on Treasure Island. It was a very small and intimate affair…and we could not have imagined anything more perfect.

While we were there over Christmas we went to meet with their Director of Special Events and they had us choose the menu, format, and everything else. We invited just a few friends and immediate family…and we had a really special evening.

Below are a few photos from the reception, and you can click here to see a slideshow of our engagement, wedding, and the reception (be sure to turn on your sound and click the rectangle in the lower right-hand corner for full-screen viewing.)

Enjoy!

We’re still in process of working with our photographer, Jason Thrasher, to put together our wedding photo book…we’ve posted a few of our most recent photos below. We still have a LOT to go through! :)

wedding ceremony

The ceremony…so beautiful, and so #us.

wedding dinner 121212

Dinner after the ceremony…some brides change in to a different dress; I changed in to jeans. :) They greeted us at the door with champagne, led us to the Chef’s table, and it was covered in rose petals. They made our evening even more spectacular than it already was!

wedding night surprise from the RCL!

The Lodge had a surprise waiting for us when we got back to our room…a beautiful (and delicious!!) wedding cake, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. PERFECT!

Our digital wedding album

Many thanks to Jason Thrasher Photography for beautiful photos as well as lightening-speed turnaround!

We had a beautiful and very touching ceremony with Pastor Gary Arnold.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed our wedding!

Our wedding! 12.12.12

One step closer!

We got our marriage license today! We went to the DeKalb County Courthouse in downtown Decatur and spent a few minutes with the very lovely and enthusiastic ladies who handle such matters. They were adamant that we didn’t walk out of there without very hearty and sincere congratulations!

We didn’t know what to expect…and it turned out to be really fun!

priceless!

Afterwards we walked over to Ted’s Montana Grill; the Decatur location has a particularly special meaning for us. It’s the site of one of our earlier and most special dates, as well as where we had dinner the night I first met Todd’s parents.

cheers!

After a champagne toast we had a celebratory lunch and made further plans for our upcoming wedding planning/birthday celebration at The Ritz Carlton Lodge this weekend.

Counting the hours! So excited. And check out this forecast…glorious.

And then we get back – kayaking next weekend!

So much to look forward to. :)

Decatur Wine Festival

Yesterday we attended the Decatur Wine Festival. It was held on the square in downtown Decatur and was a sold out event. The weather was P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Not a cloud in the sky, and a high of about 60 degrees.

We spent about 2 1/2 hours there tasting various wines and champagnes, and a little bit of food. From there we walked down the street to Ted’s Montana Grill for an early dinner as we were famished.

I pieced together this video in Picasa and unfortunately the audio doesn’t quite match up to the video. You will still be able to get a feel for the event, though.

We were both surprised by how many wines we DIDN’T like…following are the wines we tried yesterday that we liked a lot:

  • Nine Walks Sauvingion Blanc (T)
  • Gnarly Head Authentic Red (S)
  • Ferrari Carano Chardonnay (S)
  • Valdo Prosecco (T)
  • Chocolate Shop Dark Chocolate Wine (T)
  • Amalaya Red (T)
  • Charles de Fere Blanc de Blancs (T)
  • Barefoot Bubbly Extra Dry (S)
  • Alamos Torrontes (T)
  • Alamos Chardonnay (S)
  • MacMurray Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (T+S)
  • Pine Ridge Chenin/Viognier (T+S)
